I recently found an article written by Lou Frenzel on the Electronic Design website. Electronic Design is a leading publication about electronic and emerging technologies.
Lou Frenzel is Communications Technology Editor for Electronic Design. He covers topics such as wired and wireless networking. He is also editor for Mobile Dev & Design.
Lou wrote : “In a side by side comparison, the tube amp always seems to sound a bit “sweeter” than the transistor amp. It is subtle and certainly subjective but definitely noticeable. Or maybe you just have to be a musician to hear it. Nevertheless, even high end audiophiles still prefer tubes for their surround sound systems. Why is that?
